Stroller Fitness Group Coming to Sykesville

A program that offers fitness classes for moms with babies in strollers is coming to Sykesville.

Stroller Strides, which offers classes in more than 1,200 locations in the United States and Puerto Rico, will celebrate its opening in Sykesville on May 29 at 9:30 a.m. at Harold Burkette Park in Sykesville.

People can register at the event. There will be face painting and other events and promotions.

The franchise, started more than a decade ago by Lisa Druxman, from San Francisco, offers hour-long classes where mothers can be with their babies.

Caroline Riley purchased the franchise location in Sykesville, and the mother of two with nationally certified pre-and-post-natal fitness training will be teaching and leading the classes, she said.

Cost is $15 per class or $55 for unlimited access, she said.
