SYKESVILLE, MD — A Sykesville man who was reported missing after he failed to show up for work a week ago, was found dead in Bethesda, according to Montgomery County Police. The body of Daniel Taylor Evan, 40, was found shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday by a resident of Heatherhill Court in Bethesda, who spotted the dead man in Booze Creek Stream Valley Park behind the homeowner’s property.
Officers found Evans in a creek; the body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. On Friday, the medical examiner identified the victim as Evans. The cause and manner of death are undetermined pending the autopsy findings, police said.
Evans was last seen at 6 a.m. as he left for work on Thursday, Aug. 3, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. The following day, Friday, Aug. 4, he did not show up at his job in Rockville. His family grew concerned since it was abnormal for him to lose contact with them for several days.
