The Capital Reeds visit Sykesville for Free Concert
Springfield Presbyterian Church is starting off a new year of concerts with an appearance from the Capital Reeds!

The Capital Reeds was formed in February of 2013, and is considered Washington D.C.'s premier reed trio. Comprised of an oboe, clarinet and bassoon, the Capital Reeds is a versatile ensemble which is active throughout the region. Each of the he individual members of the group are very active in our region as well. Noelle Drewes , who plays oboe for the group, received her Master of Music (MM) and Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degrees from the University of Maryland. Santana Moreno is the clarinetist and has won awards and scholarships for his abilities and received his MM from Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. Jeff Ward, the group's bassoonist, is based in the Washington, DC area and received his MM from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
