Carmeno Albertini Jr., 86

Carmeno Albertini Jr., 86, of Eldersburg, died on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Transitions Health Care in Sykesville.

Born Nov. 23, 1928, in Baltimore, Carmeno was the son of the late Carmeno Albertini and Anna Cortelesa Albertini. He was the husband to Dorothy M. Hynson Albertini, his wife of over 60 years.

Carmeno had been a carpenter for many years. He was a member of Carpenters Local #101. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He had been a volunteer fireman with the English Consul Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law, Carmeno III and Sheila Albertini of Abingdon and David and Dawn Albertini of Taylorsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Larry Jacobs of Federal Hill, Marianne and Rick Taylor of Sykesville and Lisa and Lee Madairy of Westminster and brother, Anthony Albertini of Naples, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Carmeno was predeceased by sisters, Nicoletta Turner and Rosalie Harris.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 6416 Sykesville Rd. in Sykesville. A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, Jan. 16, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Rd. in Eldersburg. The Rev. David McGuigan will act as celebrant and interment will follow in Loudon Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
