Carroll County Schools Issue Notice of Closing

Carroll County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Schools and offices, including the central office, will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 26, Carroll County Public Schools officials announced.

Essential personnel are to report on time Tuesday, the announcement said.

Other Weather Announcements

Government offices will open at 11 a.m. in Carroll County on Tuesday, Jan. 26. Those who cannot report to work must call supervisors before 11 a.m.

Northern Landfill/Resource Recovery Park will open at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Senior centers will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Staff will report to senior centers on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Storm Recovery Continues

Carroll County received between 24 and 32.2 inches of snow from the weekend blizzard, according to preliminary data reported to the National Weather Service.

A state of emergency was declared and expired as of 5 p.m. on Sunday.
