"Carroll has the Arbor Day Poster Contest Artists"

Winner of statewide contest is from Carroll County.

Luke Etter, from Carroll County won the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Annual Arbor Day Poster Contest. The 2021 theme being “Trees Are Terrific…and Forest Products Are Too.” Carroll County has placed in the top-three ranking statewide for the last four years in a row. Three out of the four winners received first place.

Members of the Carroll County Forestry Board judged entries at the local level. The winning Carroll poster was then presented for review and judging to Tree-Mendous Maryland, the annual host of the poster contest. Maryland's First Lady Yumi Hogan was the special guest judge.
