
Dorothy Lee Harry, 84 of Sykesville, died Sunday, Dec. 28, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born July 6, 1930 in Gist, she was the daughter of the late Bradley and Emma Leona Grimes Wheeler Wilson. She was the wife of the late James Herbert Harry, who died in 2010.
Dorothy was a graduate of the St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing and had been an RN at Springfield Hospital Center and Fairhaven. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and watching birds. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are sons David James Harry and his wife Deborah of Westminster; Daniel Robert Harry and his wife Gayle of Sykesville; daughter Diane Lee Buhl of Gist; grandchildren Rachel Diane Miller and her husband Shane of Finksburg; Dana Showman and her husband Stephen of Westminster; Dustin James Harry, of Westminster, and Jennifer and Sarah Wege, both of Sykesville; great grandchildren Donovan Fitzgerald, Cayden Showman, Carver Miller, and Eddie Stinson; cousins Paula and Tom Wilkerson; and dear friend Nancy Barnes.

The family will receive friends at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 6416 Sykesville Rd. in Sykesville on Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Winfield.
