Eldersburg Under Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory Tuesday for snow, sleet and freezing rain in several jurisdictions, including Carroll County.

The advisory is in effect from noon to 10 p.m. Tuesday for Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties as well as the District of Columbia and parts of Virginia.

Up to 1 inch of snow and 0.1 inch ice may accumulate, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds will be 5 to 15 mph, while temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20s and rise to the 30s, the weather service reported.

Roads will be covered by snow and ice, making travel dangerous, according to the advisory.
