Firefighters Contain Brush Fire in HoCo: Officials

A brush fire broke out off Frederick Road in Woodbine, Howard County fire and rescue officials report.

WOODBINE, MD – Crews battled a brush fire in Woodbine Tuesday afternoon, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

The blaze broke out in the 15000 block of Frederick Road, the department reported at 12:08 p.m.

By 12:30 p.m., officials said most of the fire had been contained.

Firefighters were looking for hotspots to prevent the blaze from spreading to the woods.
