Flags Flown at Half-Staff for Elderburg Woman Who Died in Afghanistan
Sara Marie Cullen was a captain in the Army, and a graduate of Liberty High School and West Point.

Flags across Maryland were flown at half-staff Monday in honor of Captain Sara M. Cullen, who died March 11 during a training mission with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan on board a Black Hawk helicopter.
After graduating from Liberty High School, Cullen—whose maiden name was Knutson—went on to study law at West Point and graduated in 2007. In November, she married a former Black Hawk pilot, and they were both deployed in 2013 to Afghanistan.
Cullen was buried Monday at Arlington National Cemetery, according to wbaltv.com.
