Flash Flood Watch Includes Carroll County
The National Weather Service has issued a weather alert for Carroll County and several other areas.
Weather officials say flash flooding is possible as heavy rain soaks the region Thursday afternoon, followed by repeated thunderstorms into the evening. Isolated tornadoes and damaging wind with large hail are also possible.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the following counties, effective from 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, to 6 a.m. on Friday, June 17:
- Allegany
- Anne Arundel
- Baltimore
- Carroll
- Frederick
- Howard
- Montgomery
- Prince George's
- Washington
A flash flood watch means conditions may develop that lead to a rapid rise in water level.
