Intense Heat, Poor Air Quality in Eldersburg Forecast
Heat advisory and air quality alert have been issued for Eldersburg.

Authorities have issued a heat advisory and air quality alert for the region Sunday, including Eldersburg.
The heat advisory is in effect from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, when it may feel like 105 degrees. Heat-related illnesses are possible due to high temperatures and humidity, according to the National Weather Service.

- Reschedule strenuous activities to the early morning or evening.
- Wear lightweight clothing.
In addition, the Maryland Department of the Environment has issued a “code orange” air quality alert Sunday for the Baltimore metro area.
“Code orange” means that pollution levels in the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups including children, asthmatics, the elderly and those with heart and lung disease.
