Kitchen Fire In Eldersburg Draws Firefighters To Home

ELDERSBURG, MD — Firefighters from Sykesville were called to a home in Eldersburg Monday night for a reported fire. Crews responded to the home in the 5500 block of Compton Lane before 9 p.m.

Light smoke was found in the kitchen, and it had been contained within 10 minutes, the Sykesville Fire Department reported. The fire was contained to the oven, according to fire personnel.

Emergency officials said after 9 p.m. that they were ventilating the house.
