Report: Eldersburg Library Could Be Open Sundays

The Carroll County Commissioners have taken an initial step to provide money that would enable the Eldersburg branch of the Carroll County Library to be open Sundays, according to the Carroll County Times.

Although the final budget still needs to be approved, the commissioners recently voted to set aside $55,000 for Sunday hours at the Eldersburg branch, 6400 W Hemlock Dr, Eldersburg, the Times reported.

The Eldersburg branch is currently open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last year, the Westminster Library piloted a program for Sunday hours as well. Local businesses had hoped the Sunday hours would bring more customers to Main Street.
