Rumpelstiltskin and Friend Spotted in Downtown Sykesville

Story time at A Likely Story Bookstore (photo credit Mort Shuman)

Rumpelstiltskin was recently seen with his friend Millie at the French Twist Café in Sykesville, MD ordering a worm and mud crepe with a cup of goblin boysenberry tea. To Rump’s disappointment, they didn’t have either on the menu, so he settled for a Nutella crepe and a hot chocolate.

I caught up with the two characters at the Twist to ask them why they were in town. Earlier that day they were telling kids their story based on the book by The Brothers Grimm at A Likely Story Bookstore, also in Sykesville. They also shared that they will be at Liberty High School performing Rumpelstiltskin, an original play by Danny Hughes and Directed by Liberty’s own Danielle Dickstein.

You can catch Rumpelstiltskin, Millie and the whole cast of fun characters for this family friendly event at Liberty High School in Eldersburg on November 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:00 p.m. or at the matinee shows on November 3 and 10 at 2:00 p.m. For tickets, visit www.lhsdramaclub.com. See you there!
