Speak Out: What Should Replace Little Professor Book Center?

, which opened in 1977 and is now located at the Liberty Station Shopping Center on Liberty Road in Eldersburg, closes its doors the day before Father’s Day.

was greeted with disappointment by Eldersburg Patch readers, some of whom had shopped at the store for decades.

“I'm so sad to hear this,” wrote Laura in our comments section. “I have extremely fond memories of shopping at Little Professor’s as a child and was looking forward to sharing that with my daughters.”

The book store owner the closing comes with the advent of electronic readers amid a sputtering economy.

Now, Patch has a new question: What do you think should replace the book store? Does the area need a coffee shop (hint, hint, ), or perhaps a place to buy sweet treats or truffles.
