Teacher Professional Day Still On in Carroll County

Schools are closed for students in Carroll County on Friday, Jan. 29, as scheduled.

It’s a Teacher Professional Day, so teachers will be working Friday, Jan. 29, on end-of-marking-period business.

Instructional assistants will have a non-work day, according to Carroll County Public Schools.

The professional development day was built into the school year calendar.

It happens to coincide with a week when students have yet to go to school in Carroll County; due to last weekend’s blizzard, students have been off Monday to Thursday.

All County Band Rehearsal will take place Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Saturday School for Jan. 30 is canceled.

Many Weekend Activities Are Still On

All Friday evening and weekend school activities will take place as scheduled.

Previously scheduled community use of school facilities will take place.
