Teen Driver Safety Event Scheduled for Saturday in Sykesville
Parents and teens are invited to attend the free event.

An event Saturday in Sykesville available for teens and their parents will discuss teen car crashes and help teens become peer advocates, organizers said.
The Teen Driver Safety Summit will be held at the Police and Correctional Training Commissions, 6852 4th St. in Sykesville, on Saturday April 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Parents and teens are invited to attend.

The free all-day event is hosted by CampFire USA, an organization that provides youth programs in Maryland. Officials from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration, as well as other business and community organization representatives, will be on hand as well for the event.
“The summit is designed to provide teens, their parents and school advisors with opportunities to explore skills in driving safety, service learning and interactive means by which to increase the safety of drivers in our community,” event organizers said in a release.
