Train, Car Crash in Woodbine: Sheriff
BREAKING: The crash between a CSX train and a Ford Focus happened near the Carroll-Howard county line, officials reported.

WOODBINE, MD — A 21-year-old Woodbine man was cited Saturday afternoon for allegedly driving into the path of a train on Woodbine Road near the Howard-Carroll county line, officials said.
Nobody was injured in the crash between the CSX train and the Ford Focus, which occurred after 1:30 p.m., according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
The was significant front-end damage to the Ford, which was towed from the scene; there was minor damage to the train, authorities reported.

The driver was cited for driving on an expired license, failure to stay right of center and failure to obey the railroad grade crossing gate and barrier.
When the 21-year-old drove through the railroad crossing, he passed two other vehicles that were stopped on Woodbine Road, where warning lights were activated to indicate a train was coming, authorities reported.

According to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, one person was evaluated for minor injuries but did not want to be transported for treatment.
