Woman Found Dead in Hampstead: Carroll Sheriff

The body of a woman was found in the road in Carroll County early Sunday morning, authorities said.

HAMPSTEAD, MD – A woman was found deceased in a road in Hampstead early Sunday morning, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were called to the 800 block of Wellesley Court and found the woman dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office reported.

The woman has not been identified pending next of kin notification.

Her body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Officials said the circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation.
