Youth Group Collects $800 for Local Food Pantry

The Springfield Presbyterian Church youth group collects money, goes shopping to stock Sykesville Food Pantry.

Springfield Presbyterian Church Youth Group collected $800.00 in donations from the congregation. They shared lunch at Panera and they went to shoppers. The Youth Group divided into teams of (2) and were given $400.00 per team to purchase groceries to stock the Sykesville Food Pantry. Along with a list of items needed and keeping in mind, less than 30% sodium and low sugar content - items were purchased.
Shoppers Grocery also donated (20) bags with $5.00 food items in each bag. THANK YOU Shoppers!!!!

The youth then went to Sykesville Food Pantry at Sykesville Middle School and stocked the food pantry - Way to Go!!!
