Yvonne Patricia Arthur, 74

Yvonne Patricia Arthur, 74, died Friday, Dec. 12, at her home in Sykesville.

Born Sept. 12, 1940 in Berryville, Virginia, Arthur was the daughter of the late Bernard and Frances Huff Hummer. She was the wife of John Timothy Arthur, also of Sykesville, her husband of 54 years.

Arthur had owned and operated a hydraulic and truck repair business for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Terry Arthur of Westminster; sisters Betty Bernard of Pasadena, Delores Everhart of Linthicum, and Freda Daffron and Fran Herbert, both of South Carolina; and grandchildren Ryan and Samantha Arthur.

She was predeceased by her son, Tony Arthur.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 17 from from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel at 6416 Sykesville Road in Sykesville.

Funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Community, located at 915 Liberty Road in Eldersburg. Interment in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
