$1 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold in HoCo

Did you purchase a Mega Millions ticket in West Friendship?

According to the Maryland Lottery, someone bought a ticket at the High’s at 12780 Frederick Road for Tuesday night’s drawing that was a $1 million second-tier winner.

The winning numbers in Tuesday’s drawing were 02 19 44 51 57 14 x2, lottery officials report.

To qualify for the second-tier prize, the ticket had to match five of the winning numbers.

The winning ticket purchased in West Friendship has the numbers 2, 19, 44, 51 and 57, lottery officials said in a statement.

Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location. Here are instructions on how to claim winnings. The probability of winning this prize was one in 18,492,204.

This is the second stroke of luck for a Howard County resident playing Mega Millions this week. According to the Maryland Lottery, a Clarksville man won $25,000 after purchasing a ticket in Elkridge for the July 28 drawing.
