15 Restaurants Featured at Soup'r Sundae March 15

Benefit for Grassroots includes all the soup and ice cream you can eat, music, entertainment for children, and silent auction

Note: Soup’r Sundae has been postponed due the public health situation.

"Soup’r Sundae is an event that gathers together over 600 people. Out of an abundance of caution and concern for your health, Grassroots has decided to postpone Soupr’ Sundae. Due to the COVID-19 virus and the caution about large gatherings, we believe it is better to hold this event at a later date. We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued support."

The Faith Community Partnership of Bethany United Methodist Church and Glen Mar United Methodist Church and Wilde Lake High School are hosting the 12th annual Soup‘r Sundae, a family event featuring soups prepared by area restaurants, as a fundraiser for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center on Sunday, March 15, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at Wilde Lake High School, 5460 Trumpeter Road, Columbia, MD 21044.

Participating restaurants include Aida Bistro, Alexandra’s at Turf Valley, Chef Paolino, Elkridge Furnace Inn, Ellicott Mills Brewing Company, The Kings Contrivance, KIoshary by Misteka @The Common Kitchen, LeeLynn’s, Modern Market, Ranazul, Tasty Empanadas @The Common Kitchen, The Corner Stable, The Walrus Oyster & Ale House, Tino’s, and Urban Plates.

Bread is being provided by Vie de France and Mission BBQ. Cheese is being provided by Cabot Creamery. Ice cream has been donated by Long Gate Safeway, and Vanilla Custard is from Shake Shack at The Mall in Columbia.

Presenting Sponsors include The Horizon Foundation, Howard County Community Crab Feast, Howard County General Hospital: A member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, The Howard Hughes Corporation and M&T Bank.

There will be a silent auction featuring theme baskets, specialty items and gift certificates to area businesses. Music and entertainment for children is included.

Admission is $20 per adult and $5 per child under 12 and includes unlimited soup and bread and ice cream. Over 600 people attended last year’s event, including 80 volunteers from Howard County high schools.
