9-Year-Old On Bicycle Hit By Car In Elkridge: Police

Police said that a boy suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Hunt Club Road in Elkridge.

ELKRIDGE, MD — A child was seriously injured in a crash Friday afternoon in Elkridge, according to police. Officials said the 9-year-old boy was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a Jeep on Hunt Club Road.

The boy was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital with injuries that may be life-threatening, police reported.

The driver of the 2013 Jeep Wrangler involved in the crash, a 46-year-old Elkridge woman, was not injured, officials said.

Police said that the crash happened at 4:26p.m. on Friday, May 24, when the boy biked from a residential driveway into the travel part of the road in the 6100 block of Hunt Club Road.

Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
