Route 1 Reopens After Crash Near Elkridge: Police
The Howard County Police Department said a crash has cleared after it caused the closure of Washington Boulevard near Elkridge.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — About two hours after officials said a crash was reported near Elkridge, it has cleared. The incident Thursday afternoon resulted in a temporary shutdown of Washington Boulevard, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation's Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART).
State transportation officials reported two vehicles crashed, closing Washington Boulevard/Route 1 in the area of Montevideo Road, after 12:45 p.m.
Drivers planning to take Washington Boulevard/US 1 in the area between Montevideo Road and MD 175 were advised to opt for an alternate route.

The Howard County Police Department said that all lanes had reopened on Washington Boulevardas of 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7.
