Elkridge House Fire Contained On Railroad Avenue: Officials

Howard County firefighters said they snuffed out a house fire Friday morning in Elkridge.

ELKRIDGE, MD — Firefighters were called to a house fire in Elkridge Friday morning. Officials said it was contained to one area.

Crews responded to the 5700 block of Railroad Avenue for a house fire, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

The blaze was described as a "small fire" that firefighters contained to the room where it started.

All those who were inside the home had safely evacuated, fire officials reported.

The fire was out by 6:40 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, according to authorities.
