Silver Alert Canceled After Father And Daughter Found: Police

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police said a silver alert was canceled Wednesday evening after two family members who had gone missing were located. The pair had been last seen together Monday morning in a blue Lincoln Town Car exiting off Interstate 95 in Howard County.

The 90-year-old man and his 53-year-old daughter were located by Wednesday evening.

The Howard County Police Department said that the silver alert was canceled, and both individuals were unharmed.

PREVIOUS REPORT: Authorities have issued a silver alert and are asking for help finding a man and his adult daughter who may be in a blue Lincoln Town Car. They were last seen Monday morning, according to the Howard County Police Department. Officials are concerned due to the health of the 90-year-old man and for his daughter who has developmental disabilities.

Police said that Alex Travis, 90, was driving behind his son when Travis took the exit from Interstate 95 south to MD 100 east.

That was at 5:15 a.m. Monday, and at the time, officials said that his son thought he was taking an alternate route to get to their home on Southern Avenue in Oxon Hill. When they did not arrive home after extensive area checks in the area, the son contacted police.

Travis is described as a black man who has a beard, gray hair and brown eyes and is 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. When last seen, he was wearing a light blue coat, brown turtleneck and jogging pants, according to police.

His daughter — Lisa Travis, 53, who has developmental delays — was also in the car, officials said. She is a black woman who is described as 5-feet-5-inches tall and 245 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen, she was wearing blue leggings, a brown raincoat and black sweater.

Alex Travis was driving a light blue 2009 Lincoln Town Car with Maryland license plate 6917DA.

Police said he may have traveled into Virginia or Rockville.

Due to age-related health concerns, police said they are concerned about him; Alex Travis may be confused and in need of medication.

Anyone with information about Alex and Lisa Travis is asked to call 911.
