High Water On Meadowridge Road Reported
Fire and rescue officials responded to a call for a water rescue in Elkridge Sunday evening and advised drivers of high water.

ELKRIDGE, MD -- Emergency officials said they were dispatched to Elkridge Sunday evening for a report of a vehicle stuck in high water. Crews responded to the intersection of Meadowridge Road and Business Parkway, where the need for a water rescue was reported, officials said.
Around 6:20 p.m., there were no vehicles stuck in the area, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
There was standing water in the roadway, officials stated, and advised people to turn around if they encounter high water. "Please do not drive through high water," the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services said in a statement. "Turn around; don't drown."

Howard County is under a flood warning until 7:30 p.m. Sunday and a flash flood watch until early Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
