Thousands are still without power in Howard County.
The following cooling centers are available for residents July 4th in Howard County, according to this list distributed by Howard County Government.
ELLICOTT CITY: Ellicott City Senior Center (9401 Frederick Rd.); 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
COLUMBIA: Bain Center (5470 Ruth Keeton Way); 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

COOKSVILLE: Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Glenwood (2400 Route 97); 8 a.m.–9 p.m.; water buffalo will be there from 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
WEST FRIENDSHIP: West Friendship Volunteer Fire Station (12535 Old Frederick Rd.); 5 a.m.–9 p.m.; will also offer showers (bring your own towels and toiletries)
