ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County project to resurface all of Warwick Way and Birmingham Way in Marriottsville, has begun. Signs are posted in the area to alert residents and motorists of the work and flagging operations will be in place as needed. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times; however, delays can be expected during working hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on-street parking will be restricted. While no driveways or lot entrances will be closed or blocked for an extended period of time, minor disruptions can be expected during the project. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of June.
While the County and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, drivers are reminded to stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Please slow down and don’t follow too closely when traveling through a work zone. Remember, work zone safety is in your hands.
