Two victims in recent unrelated Columbia shootings have died. Jaden Ealey, 21, of Columbia was shot on May 30 and died on June 11. Montez Case, 22, of Columbia, was shot on June 11 and died on June 13. Both victims were initially transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical condition.Â
Police do not believe either shooting was random, or connected to one another. Detectives believe that the motive in Ealey’s murder may have been drug-related. The motive is unknown in Case’s murder. There is no suspect information available for release in either case at this time.Â

Ealey was shot at approximately 7:10 p.m. on May 30 in the 6000 block of Foreland Garth. Police responded for a report of shots fired and located Ealey behind the Exxon gas station.Â
Case was shot at approximately 9:34 p.m. on June 11 in the 10700 block of Hickory Ridge Road. Police responded for a report of shots fired and located Case in the parking lot near a convenience store.
