Nine Vehicles Crash On I-95 Near I-895: Police
Two tractor-trailers, a dump truck and six passenger cars were involved in the Monday morning crashes, Maryland State Police reported.

ELKRIDGE, MD — Several vehicles crashed on Interstate 95 north at I-895 Monday morning in Howard County, according to police. Two crashes happened around the same time and area, resulting in the temporary closure of I-95 north.
In all, two tractor-trailers, six passenger vehicles and a dump truck were involved in the collisions, according to Maryland State Police.
The collisions occurred around 7 a.m., and by 9:30 a.m., only one lane was open on I-95 north in the area. Earlier during the cleanup, I-95 north had been shut down.

One person was hospitalized as a precaution, police said, but there were no serious injuries reported.
The cause of the crashes is under investigation, according to Maryland State Police.
