Residences at Vantage Point Selects New Executive Director

Heather Funk assumed leadership of retirement community in Downtown Columbia

Heather Funk has been named Executive Director of Residences at Vantage Point in Downtown Columbia. Funk, who has been serving as Interim Executive Director, became Vantage Point’s Administrator in September of 2019. She has been employed by Vantage Point’s management firm, Life Care Services, since 2014.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Healthcare Administration, Funk holds a nursing home administrator license in Maryland and Minnesota.

Residences at Vantage Point recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and is home to over 250 residents, some long time Howard Countians, including a number of Columbia “pioneers” and early arrivers in the planned city which opened in 1967.

About Residences at Vantage Point

Residences at Vantage Point was founded in 1990 and is a nonprofit serving people age 60 and above. Managed by Life Care Services, the community includes a variety of residential living arrangements from studio to two-bedroom deluxe apartments. It provides long-term health services available exclusively for residents should they need them.
