Snapper Swim Team Raises Funds for Grassroots
Benefit honors the memory of former member who died by suicide
The Phelps Luck Snappers hosted a night time swim benefit for Grassroots. The benefit honored the memory of Taylor Pardue, a former member of the Snappers team who recently died by suicide and whose family received support from Grassroots, Howard County’s 24-7 crisis intervention center. At the benefit, Taylor’s mother, Theresa LaMotte, was presented an enlarged photo of the team taken when her daughter was a member. The event raised almost $4,800 for Grassroots.
