UPDATE: Weather Decision for Howard County Public Schools

Officials with the Howard County Public School System announced after 7 a.m. that all schools are closed on Thursday, Feb. 26.

Evening and after-school activities, including high school athletic events and practices and community-sponsored events, are canceled.

Howard County has activated its snow emergency plan, meaning vehicles parked on snow emergency routes may be towed.

Previous announcement: The Howard County Public School System will operate on a two-hour delay on Thursday, Feb. 26, officials announced.

Here’s the announcement from the Howard County Public School System:

• Schools will open two hours late.
• Morning sessions of half-day prekindergarten and RECC are canceled.
• Morning child care programs sponsored by the Columbia Association and the Department of Recreation and Parks in Howard County public schools will be delayed two hours.
