1st Howard County Police Officer's Charitable Golf Tournament
Charity Event Benefits NAACP Youth Council of Howard County and Howard County Police Foundation
The first-ever Howard County Police Officer's Charitable Golf Tournament- Benefiting Youth Initiatives was held August 26th at Turf Valley Resort. Benefiting and bringing together the Howard County Police Foundation and the Howard County Branch NAACP #7020 was the mission of the event.
Strengthening community relations and helping our kids to grow up well is what this fantastic event was all about.
Major Luther Johnson of HCPD, and Willie Flowers of the NAACP, are working hard together forging ties to create a better community for us all.

The proceeds from this sold-out event will be split 50/50 between the NAACP Youth Council of Howard County and the Howard County Police Foundation.
The NAACP Youth Council helps children in countless ways to succeed in life by succeeding in school and being engaged in productive activities.

The Howard County Police Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that raises funds to support the HCPD in efforts to improve public safety and the quality of life in Howard County and supports the Howard County Joint Police Fire Training Academy.
Becca Niburg was there working hard for the NAACP. TeeMac Golf of Columbia helped non-golfers attend by offering golf-instruction at the event.
