The ClayGround Studio & Gallery Remodel Modernizes Equipment
The studio will be updating its Old Ellicott City building to reflect the needs of the art studio and its customers.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The ClayGround Studio & Gallery has kicked off renovations of their building in the heart of Old Ellicott City. The studio, which offers a range of pottery, fused glass and mosaic classes, as well as a gallery of artwork and functional pieces from local artists, will be updating the building to reflect the needs of the art studio and its customers. Facility updates will include modernized studio equipment and design, as well as increased accessibility and flow.
“We’re committed to providing amazing experiences for all of our stakeholders and this renovation will provide even more inspiration for creativity, productivity and connection,” said ClayGround owner Michael Koplow. “In a time where funding for the arts seems to be waning, we’re excited to continue to invest and further support our local community.”
New designs include a more open floor plan upstairs and downstairs, making the venue more favorable to provide art education to students, team building for companies, other group events and celebrations both large and small.
