Ellicott City Man Dies In Car Crash: Police

The Maryland State Police asks that anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD β€” An Ellicott City man died in a car crash early Sunday morning on I-70 in Howard County. The Maryland State Police is asking for the public's help in the event anyone witnessed the incident.

Nicholas Davey, 29, crashed his red Ford Mustang into the rear end of a Toyota Highlander shortly before 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Both vehicles stopped on the left shoulder of the highway. Davey's body will undergo an autopsy, according to a police report.

Maryland State Police homicide unit investigators, forensic sciences division crime scene technicians, MSP computer crimes unit, as well as Howard County Police responded to the scene and are assisting in the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Maryland State Police at the Waterloo Barrack at 410-379-9700.
