Ellicott City Man Killed In Car Crash: Police

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A 27-year-old Ellicott City man died in a crash Wednesday that occurred near Ellicott Hills Boulevard. According to the Howard County Police Department, Sadiq Abdul-Wahhab was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima eastbound on North Ridge Road at approximately 2:15 p.m. The vehicle crossed the double yellow line for unknown reasons and hit a 2014 BMW 535i traveling westbound. He was alone in the vehicle.

The driver of the BMW, 41-year-old Chaitanya Karri of Ellicott City, was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where she was listed in stable condition. She also was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The police department continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
