Employee Assaulted By Shoplifters: Howard County Police Blotter
Three women with their faces partially covered attempted to steal merchandise from Macy's when an employee was pepper-sprayed, police say.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD β The following is a roundup of police activity for the previous week in Howard County.
Robbery
Jessup, 20794: Jessup Care Pharmacy, 8600 block of Washington Boulevard, Nov. 12 6:55 p.m.
A pharmacy employee reported that three male suspects with their faces partially covered entered the store, displayed handguns, and demanded prescription medication and cash. The employee complied and the suspects fled. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
Robbery
Columbia, 21045: Extended Stay America, 8800 block of Stanford Boulevard, Nov. 14 3:42 p.m.
An adult female victim reported that two male suspects knocked on her hotel room door. When she opened the door, the suspects entered, displayed a handgun, and assaulted her. The suspects stole cash and fled. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
Columbia, 21044: Macyβs, 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway, Nov. 15 2 p.m.
Store employees reported that three female suspects with their faces partially covered were attempting to steal merchandise. When confronted by the employees, one of the suspects briefly left the store, returned, and pepper sprayed an employee. The suspects then fled with merchandise. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

A store employee reported that two female suspects stole a pair of sneakers and one suspect threatened the employee with a knife when confronted. The suspects then fled. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Unknown suspect(s) entered the pharmacy by breaking a rear window and stole medication.
