Free Summer Meals Offered To HoCo Youth Starting June 15

Free meals will be provided to students participating in HCPSS summer programs at the 33 program locations along with grab-and-go meals.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Grab and go meals will be provided at no cost to Howard County Public School System students and anyone age 18 and younger this summer. The free summer food service program will operate on days when school is open, but there will not be meal service provided July 5.

Free meals also will be provided to students participating in HCPSS summer programs at the 33 program locations. Protective face masks do not have to be worn outdoors on HCPSS properties but are required inside HCPSS school buildings.

Meals offered during the school year will end June 15, then summer meals will start back up June 21 and be available through Aug. 13. Meals will be offered again starting Aug. 30. They can be picked up on Mondays and Thursdays. Monday's meals will have three days' worth of food while Thursday's meals will cover four days. Meals will include breakfast and lunch.

Meals may be received via walk-up to any available location by:

  • HCPSS students
  • Howard County children under the age of 18
  • Parents/guardians on behalf of their children, who do not need to be present

Meals also can be pre-ordered via the HCPSS website at https://hcpss.nutrislice.com or via mobile app. Users should select the pre-order menu, then choose a meal site location and order your meals by day.
