How Many Howard County Residents Are Vaccinated: May 18

More than 58% of HoCo's population has received their first COVID-19 dose as of May 18, according to the Howard County Health Department.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD β€” As of May 18, more than half of Howard County residents (189,552 people or 58.2 percent) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 161,834 people (49.7 percent) have been fully vaccinated. There have been 19,253 total coronavirus cases so far as of May 18 and there are 9,571 active cases.

Maura Rossman, health officer for the Howard County Health Department, noted that "while disease is decreasing, it is still important that we continue to wear facial coverings indoors and when unable to physically distance outdoors, avoid large public gatherings and get tested when exposed or develop symptoms until everyone is vaccinated."
