2 Dead, 1 Wounded In Shooting At Royal Farms In Essex

Police have not confirmed whether a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and fire a few blocks away is connected.

ESSEX, MD — Two people were killed, and another injured, in a Sunday morning shooting at a Royal Farms store in Essex, according to multiple reports.

Baltimore County police responded to the scene at 1601 Middleborough Road around 6:30 a.m., according to a Fox-Baltimore report. Authorities had the area around the store on Back River Neck Road closed as they began an investigation, WBALTV-11 reported.

Both reports state another person suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound in an apartment a few blocks away that also caught fire, but police have not confirmed whether the incidents are connected.
