After Crab Feast, Oprah Says 'I'm Loving Baltimore...'

Oprah Winfrey is in Charm City.

Oprah and her significant other Stedman Graham dined Wednesday night at Captain James Seafood Palace in Canton, according to a photograph she posted on Instagram.

The ship offers a special dining experience in a building shaped like a merchant vessel on Boston Street.

The couple arrived at 8:30 and stayed until after 9:30 p.m. for their crab feast, owner Bill Tserkis told The Baltimore Sun, stating she was “great to deal with.”

Oprah used to live and work in the Baltimore area decades ago. She was a morning anchor for WJZ then hosted its “People are Talking” program before moving to Chicago in 1984 to host a morning show, according to WNEW.

She said she would drive with the windows down from Columbia to TV Hill in Baltimore City to let her hair dry after her shower, since she didn’t have a stylist back then, according to Baltimore Magazine.

In town on Thursday, Oprah tweeted that she’s “loving Baltimore today,” noting that the city has grown and “I hardly recognize downtown.” Since posting that on Twitter, she’s received invites from the Ravens to their first preseason game Thursday night and to a premiere of the movie she co-producedThe Hundred-Foot Journey—in Harbor East.
