More than 70 Sports Science Academy students at Kenwood High School participated Wednesday in “Hoops for the Heart” for the American Heart Association.
The event, a basketball tournament combined with a cardio workout, helps raise money for kids with special heart conditions. Students raised more than $1,000 for the cause.
"The students worked really hard and had a lot of fun for a great cause," said Jenn Cox, the Sports Science Academy Coordinator.
