30-year-old Zakia Davis of the 200 block of Payson St. faces weapons charges after her arrest yesterday in Towson.

Just before 7 p.m., Davis entered a store in 6800 block of Loch Raven Blvd., armed with a shotgun; she indicated she was looking for someone. Davis quickly left the store and proceeded to drive to a second business. Just prior to entering that second establishment, Davis discarded the shotgun she possessed. Again, Davis displayed erratic behavior.

Baltimore County police later found Davis hiding in the 6900 block of Loch Raven Blvd. where they placed her under arrest. Officers later discovered the stolen shotgun Davis had earlier discarded in the location where she had left it.

Davis is charged with rifle/shotgun possession with a felony conviction, reckless endangerment, theft and other charges. She remains at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no bail status pending a bail-review hearing.
