Baltimore County Police: Torch Run Includes Caring Cops And Special Athletes
The Special Olympics torch will be carried by both officers and Special Olympics athletes.

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Maryland will take place Thursday, June 3, at 10Â a.m. This marks 35 years of Baltimore County Police participation in the event. BCoPD is dedicated to raising money for and awareness of the Special Olympics Maryland.

The Special Olympics torch will be carried by both officers and Special Olympics athletes.
About 30 runners will line up for the three-mile run that starts and ends at the Public Safety Building in Towson. The runners and other participants will receive a goody bag for their participation.
