Eastern Tech Softball, Baseball Keep Winning

The Mavericks won its eighth straight softball game Wednesday over Sparrows Point while the baseball team posted its fourth straight victory after defeating Parkville.

Senior second baseman Alison Williams went 3-for-3 with two triples and two RBIs as Eastern Tech’s softball team defeated Sparrows Point, 13-0, in a game halted after five innings.

Junior first baseman Laura Thacker went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for the Mavericks (14-2), who scored all of their runs in the third and fourth innings.

Sophomore pitcher Jordan Cargile allowed no runs and four hits and struck out seven to pick up the win. Cargile also helped her own cause by going 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

has now won eight straight and have outscored the opposition 117-9 during the winning streak. The Mavericks have also not allowed a run in four straight games.

Eastern Tech Baseball: Junior Chuckie Trentler went 1-for-4 with a double and four RBIs as the Mavericks defeated , 14-2, in a game halted after five innings.

Infielders Andy Szamski and Logan Miller each went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs for the Mavericks (8-6), who has won four straight.
