Essex Crime: Electronics, Guns, Scooters Stolen
The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Here are some of the crimes recently reported to the Essex Precinct:
Wampler Road, 900 block, between 1:15 p.m. May 19 and 1:30 p.m. May 21: About $500 in collectable presidential and state coins were stolen from a home.
Chilworth Avenue, 1500 block, between 3 p.m. May 20 and 5:15 p.m. May 21: A motor scooter was stolen from a home after someone cut off a security chain and removed the scooter from the yard. Total loss: $3,010.

Susquehanna Avenue, 1000 block, between 4:30 p.m. May 18 and 6:30 p.m. May 20: A 42-inch TV and a set of headphones were stolen after someone smashed a window to gain entry into the residence. Total loss: $525.
Maple Drive, unit block, between 9:45 and 11:40 p.m. May 19: A 32-inch TV, shotgun, silver collectibles and jewelry were stolen from a home. Total loss: $657.50.

Poplar Road, 2100 block, between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 18: A dirt bike was stolen after someone broke into a garage. Total loss: $4,000.
Shadetree Road, 1400 block, 3:30 a.m. May 19: A man reported he found a paper that had been set on fire in front of his apartment. The fire was out when the resident returned home.
